Harps Legends: Jonathan Minnock, 485 Appearances

Jonathan Minnock is the record appearance holder for Finn Harps. Jonathan was a fixture around Finn Park long before he came a player. His father John played for Harps and used to bring his son to most of the games with him.  He signed for Finn Harps as a player in January 1994.

Playing for the youth and reserve sides for the next eighteen months.   Jonathan got his break into the first team at the beginning of the 1995/96 season and quickly became a fixture in the Finn Harps side.   Jonathan remained with Harps until the end of the 2001/02 season, signing for Dublin side Shelbourne.  He stayed for one year in Dublin before re-joining Harps for the 2002/03 season.

He remained with Harps until the end of the 2008, a season which saw him suffer from injuries.  He was awarded a testimonial for his service in 2009.   Jonathan moved to Kildrum Tigers for the 2009 season before returning to Harps in 2010.   He then joined Letterkenny Rovers in the Ulster Senior League.   He was a member of the 1995/96 and 2007 Harps promotion winning sides.  In 1999 he won an Irish News cup medal and an FAI Cup runners up medal. He won the First Division Cup in 2002.  He was a member of the 2004 First Division title winning side.

Whilst with Shelbourne won the Premier Division and the Super Cup in 2001/02.  He also played in Europe for Shelbourne. Representative honours that came his way the League of Ireland u21 side, League of Ireland side.  He was Selected on the Premier Division side of the year (1999/00) and on three First Division teams of the Year (1995/96, 2003, 2004).
