Finn Harps FC Environmental/Sustainability Policy

Finn Harps Football Club is aware of the impact we can have on the environment & the economy within our community. We believe that as part of this commitment football clubs can have a vital role to play in promoting responsibility for the environment and lead by example within the football club and the local community.

It is our policy of Finn Harps FC as a club to continue to develop, improve our environment and review our environmental objectives and work towards further sustainable and environmentally friendly projects.

We shall continue to improve efficiency in the use of all resources and adapt an approach to implement low and zero technologies where appropriate to do so.

We encourage all our shareholders to share our aims including our staff, players, fans and volunteers.

Travel

  • We would encourage all fans to use public transport when possible and by either walking or even cycling to games if necessary. This way you can lower car usage and offer more environmentally friendly means.

Environment

  • Aim to improve biodiversity within our training grounds and at Finn Park.
  • Familiarise our supporters, sponsors and community with our sustainability policy and encourage them to adopt the appropriate sustainable practices.
  • To review and to continue to improve the sustainability performance of Finn Harps FC.

Community & Economy

  • To grow the scale of our football club in the community engagement.
  • Ensure our programmes are available to everyone regardless of religion, gender, age, ethnicity or cultural background.
  • Develop and promote our people while continuing to grow Finn Harps FC.

Review of Policy

  • This policy will be reviewed every year by the club and the Board of Directors or sooner if there is a change of events. The Board will also recommend any changes to the policy.
