Preview: Finn Harps vs Derry City

Finn Harps will be looking to maintain momentum heading into a derby cup tie with Derry City on Friday night. Kick-off at Finn Park is 8pm and the game is live on loitv.ie.

Both sides have one win apiece in their two league meetings this season. Finn Harps advanced to the second round of the Extra.ie FAI Cup with a 3-0 victory over Fairview Rangers after extra-time last month.

Speaking ahead of the game, Ollie Horgan told FinnHarps.ie: “Derry have seriously kicked on in recent weeks and they’ll be full of confidence coming to Finn Park. Ruaidhri has done a serious job there since he came in and they strengthened a quality squad with the likes of Bastien Hery and Jamie McGonagle in the Summer window.

Both games between the sides this season have been very close. We probably felt a bit hard done by in the last derby game at Finn Park as a couple of key decisions didn’t go our way but it’s up to us to go out now and put in a good performance.”

In team news, Mark Timlin misses out through injury. Will Seymore is suspended, as is Ollie Horgan. McNamee, Boyle and O’Sullivan are doubts.

Injured: Mark Timlin
