The club can confirm that Max Johnston suffered a significant ankle injury after a crucial block in the final stages of Friday’s win in Athlone.
Max was taken to Tullamore Hospital where he received treatment before undergoing surgery on Saturday. He was discharged from hospital on Sunday afternoon and has returned home to rest and recover.
Everyone at Finn Park is fully behind Max as he begins his road to recovery and we have no doubt he will be back as strong as ever.
