Believe it or not, it’s time to start picking those Fantasy Premier League teams already. The hugely popular FPL game is up and running and it just wouldn’t be the same without Irish Football’s number one prize league!!
Finn Harps FPL is back for an incredible 9th consecutive season and will continue as a members’ league format like last year. Membership costs just €20 for the season including free entry to FPL Classic League, with half of all membership fees added to the prize fund for the competition.
After giving away €3,180 in prize money in 2020/21 we once again smashed our record entry last season with 338 members and a prize fund of €3,380 given away as 23 separate prizes. Let’s see if we can keep the number rising for the incoming season.
Last season our overall Champion Lee McInerney collected a prize of €1,150 for his efforts. Siddharth Mohindroo took second place and we eventually managed to get €550 to India! Stephen Fullerton came third earning €350. Overall, we paid prizes to the top 10 finishers, as well as the Christmas leader and Cup winner/runner up. Managers of the month prizes were increased to €40 per month. A full list of last year’s winners is below. We hope for a similar structure this season, with hopefully even more cash in the pot.
The Finn Harps Fundraising Committee continue to work to raise vital additional income to help our club compete at the top tier of Irish football, and all support is greatly appreciated. We estimate that the FPL fundraiser has generated well in excess of €20,000 for Finn Harps FC over the years, so we hope you will support, and promote, this important event.
