Finn Harps Academy Announce the Addition of Academy Video Analyst

Finn Harps Academy are delighted to announce the appointment of Ben Reuven as the academy video analyst.

Reuven spent last year as the goalkeeping coach for the U15 NL side, as well as the u16s Head Coach, a role he has held for the previous two years. This will be the first appointment for the Finn Harps Academy in this field and acts to further the Academy’s commitment to player’s development both on and off the pitch.

Head of Academy, Kevin McHugh emphasized the need for the role –

“If we can take any positives from the lock-downs, it’s the opportunity to sit down and reflect where we are and how we can improve our setup. Having a dedicated Video analyst for the Academy is something we needed to put in place, so we are delighted that Ben has taken up this role.

Ben has an excellent grasp of our setup within the Academy having coached here for the past few years, his IT and football knowledge will be of great benefit to all our coaches and players in 2021. Ben will continue his role as the head coach for the 16s, and I’m looking forward to seeing the benefit his new role will bring to the Academy.”

Ben Reuven highlighted the importance of video analysis in player development –

“I’m delighted to be given this role and like to thank Kevin McHugh for his faith and confidence in me. I thoroughly believe that video & performance analysis plays a key role and a highly effective tool in player development and growth, especially in underage players. I can’t wait to get started and looking forward to working with the coaches & players at the Academy.”
