Academy Updates As McHugh And Doherty Feature in Northern Ireland Friendly

WU17

It was a 5 star performance from our WU17s in Mayo as they beat the hosts 5-0. Goals from Sarah McGuinness, Cliodhna Kelly, Sophie McLaughlin, Rachel Harron and Sarah Mulvaney Kelly gave Harps the points. Alannah Curran, Hannah Goudie & Kyra Gavigan shared POTM.

WU19

Our WU19s lost out 3-2 to Bohemians at Corry Park.  Bohs were 2 up before Eabha Daly pulled one back, while Orlaith Doherty again pulled Harps back to within one on 83 minutes.

MU14

Harps MU14s lost out to Dundalk by a four two score line.  Harps lead through Ethan Buchanan but the visitors scored either side of half time to hit the front.  Josh O’Donnell got Harps back level  but two injury time goals saw Dundalk secure the win.

MU15

Our 15s came away with all 3 points in a closely fought encounter at Oriel Par. Ashton Crossan gave Harps the lead while Odhran McHugh popped up with the winner for Harps with 15 mins to go. Lukas Doherty & Orran Kee claimed the POTM with impressive performances.

MU17

Our MU17s came out the right end of an entertaining contest at Finn Park. A Leighton Green brace along with a header from Danny Cooney gave Harps the win. Peter Sweeney claimed the POTM with an assured display at the back.

MU20

Our MU20s were in Dundalk as they played out a scoreless draw. Despite Harps’ best efforts throughout the 90 minutes they couldn’t force a goal against a stubborn Dundalk side. Dylan McAteer earned the POTM with a solid performance at the back for Harps.

McHugh And Doherty Feature in Northern Ireland Friendly

A huge well done to both Odhran McHugh & Lukas Doherty who featured for the Northern Ireland team for their friendly against Newcastle United. Both players made an impact with Odhran scoring Northern Ireland’s 2nd goal in the 4-1 win.
