FAI League of Ireland Down Syndrome Festival

FANTASTIC FINN HARPS FUTSAL HEROES TRIUMPHANT ONCE MORE

The Finn Harps Down Syndrome Futsal squad once again carried all before them as they retained the trophy at the latest LOI All-Ireland tournament.

Once again the Harps team won every game they took part in, including a semi ﬁnal win over Derry and the ﬁnal against Dundalk. Coached by Tony McNamee and Danny Ferry, Harps won all their group games- 6-1 v Wexford, 5-0 v Bohemians, 3-0 Shelbourne and 3-2 Bray Wanderers to win the group.

In the semi-ﬁnals, Harps took on Derry City, Shaun McCosker and Hughie Sweeney scored two each in a 4-2 win. Sweeney scored 2 more and McCosker added another as Harps defeated Dundalk 3-2 in the ﬁnal.

Well done to the whole squad for representing the club so brilliantly and bringing home the Cairdeas Cup.
