500 Club Continues to Provide a Solid Foundation By Trevor Gordon

Now entering the fourth full season since a major relaunch in 2020, the 500 Club continues to be one of the most important and consistent sources of income for Finn Harps FC.

Over the past three years, members of the 500 Club have contributed almost €175,000 to the Club with a focus on supporting the first team management and squad.  As a fully fan owned club, with no private investors, becoming a 500 Club member is the most important way that the fanbase can invest directly in the club, as together with Season Ticket sales this consistent and reliable income allows the club to properly plan and allows security to think long term.

After having to carry out a complete rebuild of both squad and management team this season (we only thought last season had a high player turnover!!) supporters will notice the commitment of Dave Rogers and the Board of Directors to offering longer term contracts to promising young players, as they seek to build stability, sustainability and set out a new strategic path on the playing side.  This forward thinking is really only made possible by sustainable support such as the 500 Club.

And Dave Rogers has been keen to emphasis the core importance of the 500 Club to his short and long term plans since taking the reins in December.  “The 500 club really epitomizes everything we are trying achieve as a club, it allows me to continue to build structure, professionalism and stability, which the technical staff and players can then implement and deliver in a sustainable and effective way.”

Membership has increased steadily from around 150 after relaunch in January 2020, to 240 by the end of that year, and peaking at around 325 at the start of last season, we have once again seen a boost in membership as Dave and his infections positive energy has brought a serious buzz to our preseason!!  Membership for February sits at 319, with several new signup ups already on board for the March draw list.

And of course, as well as the satisfaction of making a vital contribution, members do get plenty of tangible returns, with over €77,000 in prizes distributed in 3 years, and €500 on offer every single week (January winners below).  Meanwhile we have just confirmed an allocation of almost 30 tickets for members for the much sought after upcoming Republic of Ireland international match against France at the Aviva Stadium!

So once again, all at Finn Harps sincerely thank our loyal 500 Club family for being a crucial Part of the Team.  If you are interested in becoming a member please see www.finnharps.ie/500club and sign up today.
